Judgement of ourselves and others ultimately leads to a sense of separateness and shows us just how much we are not accepting of ourselves. Ultimately it is a reflection of what we believe it is ok and not ok to be. This can lead to feeling anxious and fearful, especially in uncertain times.
The way out of judgement is to recognise that at a spiritual level, we are all the same thing. Try to look for similarities in others rather than differences, recognise that whatever you think or feel is ok. It's how you choose to respond and act that is your ultimate gift. Being human is not always having thoughts and feelings that are fluffy and light! What you experience in your inner world is your gift for learning and growing. Be you x

During difficult times such as this current time, we can start to experience really challenging feelings of sadness and helplessness leading to a sense of continuing darkness.. the 'what if' questions begin. "What if it's always like this?" 'What if's' are always negative. I have never been asked, "What if i'm always this happy for the rest of my life?!"
The light in the darkness begins with a sense of hope, hope is accessed by changing our thought process to "this will pass." Hope is the light that is needed to find our way through.. every time you experience a 'What if..' try to replace it with 'this will pass' and by making your experience more temporary, hope can be found.. Good morning to everyone as we approach another week in 'lockdown...'
I have become aware of a theme emerging more clearly through coronavirus. We are being forced to let go of our ego desires, what we want and don't want and how we think things or others should / shouldn't be. We are placed in a position of having to surrender and accept what is.. Spiritually this is a fantastic opportunity for growth as we let go of our 'ideals' of ourselves and others and allow our true selves to emerge. Only when we do this can we experience ourselves as spirit which is ultimately true and unconditional love. When we let this flow through us our lives become a reflection of this and we stop experiencing pain. The challenge is to recognise that love expresses itself in different, unique ways through everyone and is distorted by the mind, through self doubt and again ideals about how we and others should be. Letting go of what 'should be' and learning to allow and accept simply by being the love that you are is the learning here.. Letting your light shine is letting yourself as love flow in whatever form. So let your love flow, take your time now to manifest a life that you love. I believe this is the ultimate spiritual learning of the virus and life as spirit. No separation, literally heaven on earth, spirit in the body. I would also like to facilitate helping others to experience this within through a regular group meditation via Zoom. Please message me or post on the group if you are interested in joining and I will schedule something weekly. I wish you all love in its purest form xx The way we talk to ourselves is a direct reflection of what is happening in our psyche. In my experience, this is a fundamental part of starting to feel better about ourselves and our surroundings, particularly at this time of 'lockdown.'
In other words.. no one can swim with a foot on their head! Especially if the foot is yours and you don't realise it! So today, make your life easier by catching yourself everytime you are critical towards yourself and start again with "it's understandable you feel that..." This is a very subtle but powerful way for life to start to feel easier and flow... This time of 'lockdown' is taking people into a period of self reflection.. it shows us how much we would otherwise distract ourselves with external things.
A great analogy now is to consider how we live our lives in terms of a journey by boat. For many, the boat of choice has been a motor boat, the focus on crossing the river, as fast as possible, to a specific point on the opposite bank. The aim is the destination with no attention to how it is to be in the boat on the way there... no attention on you or your experience... which ultimately leads to a sense of 'something missing' and that thing that is missing is YOU! Imagine instead, travelling by sail boat. Setting the intention that you will be taken somewhere and relaxing, enjoying the calm of the subtle wind taking you there and the beauty of your surroundings. Trusting that perhaps the wind knows something more than you do and there is perhaps a better place for you to moor your boat which you will be taken to.. Try this as a meditation, surrendering to the wind and letting the beauty take you where you need to be, surrendering to and accepting what is ... A subtle but very effective way to overcome any feelings of helplessness at this challenging time of lockdown is to remind ourselves that we have choices within these constraints ... awareness of choice, even simple things like what do I choose in this moment has a profoundly empowering effect. |
